The Aging Room Small Batch – The spirit of the Habano Dominican grown tobacco
The Aging Room Small Batch is an interesting stick. A perfecto with a spiral pigtail and a medium slightly reddish brown wrapper that is velvety smooth to the touch. The aroma that emanates off the wrapper is a combination of sweet nuts, cedar, leather and chocolate. Tightly packed, the Aging Room Small Batch is a beauty of a barrel.
From the beginning of its creation, the tobacco with has been aged to perfection in order to achieve a one of a kind smoke with creamy flavors. The wrapper is a Dominican Republic Habano, the fillers are also Dominican, as well as the binder. It is brought together at the famed Tabacalera La Palma. The Small Batch starts out the first third with flavors of strong cedar, leather, creamy nuts and a slight grass note that comes and goes. Some spicy notes pour in through the cigar that gives of a subtle taste underneath the flavors but swiftly melds together to form a blissful, tight draw. Copious amounts of white pepper on the retrohale flushes perfectly with the subtle sweetness that is almost graham cracker like. Strength-wise, this cigar is medium to full.
The Small Batch is a musical term which translates to very loud and is usually used as a direction, i.e. a very loud passage or tone. This is a great cigar that can be paired with a cup of coffee in the morning for you cigar lover/early birds that love to get the worm. For the night owls we suggest a whisk of Makers Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon to go with this stick. You’ll thank us later.
