The Gurkha Grand Reserve – The Flagship Cigar of Gurkha

*Base pictured is not included. You are able to purchase it once you place the Unit of 30 in your cart. The base item special is $9.99

Take a moment to picture this: You’re just getting home from work, the temperature outside is something out of a cold tundra, you light up the fire place and begin to warm up…..but something is missing. So you get up, grab a glass of cognac, open up your humidor and grab any cigar you find, sit down and start to unwind finally. Now the evening is looking a lot better wouldn’t you say? Well Gurkha aimed to take things one step further with the Gurkha Grand Reserve. Why get up to have to pick up two items when you can kill two birds with one stone? So they’ve taken some of the best tobaccos known, infused them with a cognac that certainly lives up to its name, and wrapped them all up in one stick which delivers scintillating aromas, flavors, and a rush unlike any other.

Before the infusion process, each Grand Reserve starts with an aged Dominican filler that is caped with a silky Connecticut shade wrapper. This combination makes the cigar mild to medium bodied, but sweet and flavorful at the same time. The cigar is then dehydrated in order to add the most important piece of the puzzle. The Luis XIII cognac. This signature cognac is infused into the cigar using a secret process that only Kaizad Hansotia himself knows. Once the infusion process is complete, they are hermetically sealed in a crystal tube and covered in a wax lid to allow the cigar to marinate and truly soak up the essence of the Louis XIII Cognac. The infusion makes this cigar absolute bliss. No wonder the Gurkha Grand Reserve has attracted even the most conservative cigar enthusiasts with its unique blend and enticing aroma.

The Gurkha Grand Reserve – The Flagship Cigar of Gurkha

Gurkha Grand Reserves are very unique cigars as they are infused with cognac.  One of the first persons known to use cognac to add more flavor to cigars was Winston Churchill.  He would take his cigars and dip them in Cognac, Brandy, Scotch, Whiskey, Ports, and Rum.  Though criticized for it, his reply was, “it’s my money, my cigars and I could do with them as I damn well please!” Even though Gurkha is not using the same method as the great Churchill, their inventive method for infusion involves: taking the some of the finest tobaccos grown from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic and wrapping them inside a Connecticut shade grown wrapper to then infuse the cigar with one the world’s best cognac’s Louis XIII. Once the infusion process is complete, the cigars are hermetically sealed in a crystal tube and covered in a wax lid to allow the cigar to marinate and truly soak up the essence of the Louis XIII Cognac. This infusion process makes this cigar absolutely bliss!  The unique blend of tobacco and enticing aroma, attracts even the most conservative cigar enthusiasts.
Fun Fact: Gurkha Grand Reserve was the celebratory cigar of choice for Navy Seal Team 6.
