Pre-Smoke:
- The 3 x 58 ring guage Nub Habano has a nice looking smooth and oily, toothy, chocolate brown Habano wrapper. It is very firm and heavy, nicely packed, and has a flat even cap that cuts cleanly with no visible stems.
- Draw & Aroma : The draw is medium firm, the pre light exam shows earthy aromas of mature tobacco, and flavors that are spicy and rich, slightly sweet.
Taste:
- 1st Half
At light up, the first half produces lots of fragrant, bold and spicy smoke, the flavor of caramel and leather with a clean firm tobacco essence. The aroma picks up traces of brown sugar and toasty oak notes, complex and pleasant. The flavors are very big and pronounced from the start, just as the description says, and increase as the smoke progresses. The burn is a bit uneven but self correcting, not surprising for this size of cigar.
- 2nd Half
The second half is really intense now, there are hints of cream on the finish, lightly coating and lingering on the palate. There is more flavor of caramel,big notes of leather , smooth aromas of cedar and light pepper, the burn has evened out nicely, the cigar remains cool burning and very tasty.
Burn and Ash :

The ash is pale gray and firm, it hangs on nicely, indicating a well made cigar.

This is a great smoke if you want a big flavorful cigar and do not have time for a conventional vitola, this one is packed with flavor in a smaller format. I rate this one 8 out of 10 strength, 18 out of 20 overall.
