For Baseball fans, March means spring training and for us, in Florida, it means the opportunity to scout all the big players, from faraway cities, up close and personal. The best of all, of course, is you could hang out, watch the training and smoke a good cigar at the same time. I still remember when we could do it in the stadium, in a real game!

The Spring Training Special includes 5 great Torpedoes, medium to full body starting with La Gloria Cubana Torpedo No.1 (6 1/2 x 52). This super-premium cigar is perhaps the best torpedo on the market with a sweet spicy taste of freshly ground Blue Mountain coffee beans, silky soft wrapper and a sweet blue smoke.

The second cigar is Alec Bradley Tempus Imperator (61/8 x 52); a high-octane Honduran, ranking right at the top of the pyramid. The Tempus received the coveted 94 rating by CA Magazine. It is blessed with a tempered nature and is full of complex flavors with rich notes of coffee and caramel.

It is followed by another great torpedo – the CAO Brazillia Samba (6 ¼ x54). This dark cigar is as rich and complex as the Brazilian Carnaval, full of exotic flavors of chocolate and oven cured coffee beans. Powerful and oily, it burns slow and sweet.

Our next torpedo is the Siglo Limited Reserve X (6x54), full of flavors, bold and rich, with creamy spicy notes of Kahlua and Cream. This hi-grade cigar is one of the best we smoked lately. The Siglo is the new crown jewel of Altadis.

Last but not least, is Mike’s 1950 Belicoso (6x52). This Exquisite Puro is made in the Dominican Republic by the Matasa factory. The 1950 is well aged and full of taste and smooth and complex at the same time, with every puff revealing more facets of this big belicoso, which brings this awesome sampler to its sweet ending.
