Traditionally, the most popular cigar rings are those between 42-45. The classic "Lonsdale" size cigars are their best representatives. At about two thirds of an inch thick, they are fat enough to provide the room for as many tobacco elements even by the most sophisticated and creative cigar blenders. They burn cool and feel just right in the mouth. In this sampler we selected some great Lonsdale cigars.
We start with the the Dunhill Dominican Samana (6½x38). Dunhill Dominican is the embodiment of the Dominican smoke. Made with an exquisite blend of the finest, aged Olor and Piloto Cubano leaves, grown in the Cibao Valley, wrapped in a silky, Connecticut Shade wrapper, this mild to medium-bodied cigar is elegant, creamy and delectable.
Second Cigar is Macanudo Trump (6½x45). The Macanudo was selected to add bigger contemporary dimensions to this sampler. Macanudo boasts the best prime Connecticut broadleaf in the world, smooth and creamy.
The third cigar is Gispert Lonsdale (6½x44). The tasty Gispert will delight even the seasoned and demanding cigar connoisseur. Gispert cigars are crafted with a unique blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan grown long filler tobaccos, a Honduran binder and a rich golden Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper.
The next pick is Siglo No. 2 (5 5/8x45) bold, complex and amazingly refined, it is the new crown jewel of Altadis. It is as good as it gets.
We conclude the Ring Gauge Sampler with 898 Collection Lonsdale (6½x42). Super-Premium in a class by itself, the 898 Collection is an awesome cigar with a medium body but, so flavorful. With rich notes of French Vanilla Chocolate and a dash of honey nut, each 898 Collection cigar provides a spectacular smoking experience.
