Montecristo - La Gloria Chicken Little Cigar Sampler

The sky did not fall last weekend and the world didn’t come to an end, so we decided to give our customers the opportunity to get some really great Torpedo cigars at a HUGE bargain. Just in case something happens later than schedule at least we have a good smoke before we go. :-)

Montecristo White No. 2 Belicoso (6 1/8 x 52) - Reminiscent of the original Montecristo No. 2, this cigar is the epitome of construction. The golden blonde wrapper on this perfectly built torpedo hides a balanced filler blend producing warm, spicy medium bodied smoke. A great cigar to share!

La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Tabaqueros 652B (6 x 52) Tabaqueros is carefully handmade at the Little Havana shop by a tiny team of 10 master rollers. To create this gem, they chose two different wrappers. A dark and oily Habano-Sumatra seed wrapper grown in Ecuador is dressed on the first two thirds of the cigar length, while the final third sports a supple Connecticut Shade, sweet and creamy.

Alec Bradley Prensado Torpedo (6 1/8 x 52) This cigar was built around a new wrapper, the Corojo dos mil, seis (Corojo 2006). The wrapper was grown in late 2006 on the farm in Trojes Honduras and was in fermentation and aging through mid 2008. In addition, the cigar has a beautiful reddish brown "cubanesque" look and feel. Prensado is Alec Bradley/'s first traditional pressed line of cigars and the most full bodied blend to date.

Gispert Belicoso (6 1/8 x 52) is his third pick. The tasty Gispert will delight even the seasoned and demanding cigar connoisseur. Once a vintage Cuban brand, it is hand made today by Altadis in Honduras. Gispert cigars are crafted with a unique blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan grown long filler tobaccos, a Honduran binder and a rich golden Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper for the Natural cigars, and a specially grown San Andres Morron dark shade for the Maduro. It is a medium bodied cigar with sweet notes of cocoa and spiced wood, slow burn and long finish.

Gurkha Legend Torpedo (6 1/2 x 53) The Legend series is the rarest of the Gurkha cigars. With an extensive aging process of 8 years, these cigars feature a dark maduro Connecticut broadleaf wrapper with a slightly spicy African Cameroon leaf binder and high-grade Dominican filler tobaccos. These mature “legends” will entice you with complex and robust flavors, a slow burn and a captivating aroma.
