Every Memorial Day, we get together to watch the biggest race of the year. To motor sports enthusiasts, the Indy 500 is like the Mundial for soccer fans. It goes back to 1911 with big names such as A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti and Rick Mears who have taken the checkered flag here, in the past, and every race is a week-long celebration of open-wheel racing, good food and cigars. The race is scheduled to run on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The next best thing to do, if you can't personally be there, is to get some good cigars and find a place where you can watch the event with your cigar loving friends.
The Indy 500 Cigar Sampler includes Montecristo Toro (6x52), a true cigar for the accomplished aficionado.
The next cigar is Alec Bradley Maxx Traditional Toro (6X50). It was developed with the same bold flavor as the original Alec Bradley Maxx, in more traditional sizes. It is blended to include tobaccos from 4 Latin American nations: Colombia, Nicaragua, Honduras and Mexico.
The La Aurora 100 years (100 Anos) Limited Edition (5 x 50) cigars were made to commemorate the 100 years anniversary of The La Aurora Corp. in Dominican Republic.
The Siglo Limited Reserve IV (5 x 54) has a relaxed nature to this cigar and it has a "modern" feel with its dueling flavor elements. Siglo cigars continues to produce premium tobacco. This cigar, characterized by it's extraordinary boldness, complexity and a rich, fuller body.
Finally, Memoria De Cuba Toro (6 x 50). Made by Felipe Gregorio, this landmark cigar is dressed with the silkiest of wrappers.
