A few weeks ago we mailed out a special sampler as a tribute to Warren Buffett’s charity lunch auction. We received many replies from customers who were interested with the project. As I was reading the emails I bumped on a story titled “How Warren Buffett made his first dime”. According to the story, when Buffett celebrated his 10th birthday, his father took him to have lunch on Wall Street, in the Stock Exchange dining room, with a friend who was a broker. After lunch a guy came along with a tray that had all these different kinds of tobacco leaves on it. He made up a cigar for Mr. Mol, who picked out the leaves that he wanted. Buffett thought that it doesn’t get any better than this. If in the middle of the great depression men were willing to spend on good cigars then he must go into business for himself. What an inspiring story. We all share the passion for good cigars and in this inspiration we made this special sampler.
Arturo Fuente Rothschild (4 1/2 x 50) When it comes to big flavors in a short cigar, you can't beat the Arturo Fuente Rothschild cigar. With abundant smoke and rich flavors and aromas, the Fuente Rothschild with its rich Cameroon wrapper and Dominican fillers is a great 40 minute smoke.
Macanudo Maduro Hyde Park (5 1/2 x 49) Following in the traditional ways of Macanudo, their Maduro line breaks away from normal Maduro standards. While still achieving the rich status of a Maduro flavor, the Macanudo Maduro is still a mellow smoke. With a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper and Cuban Seed Dominican fillers, this Macanudo is a medium-bodied powerful smoke.
La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Tabaqueros 650 (6 x 50) Tabaqueros is carefully handmade at the Little Havana shop by a tiny team of 10 master rollers. To create this gem, they chose two different wrappers. A dark and oily Habano-Sumatra seed wrapper grown in Ecuador is dressed on the first two thirds of the cigar length, while the final third sports a supple Connecticut Shade, sweet and creamy.
Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 50 Year (5 x 50) This special Exodus edition is dressed in a captivating Brazilian Arapiraca sun-grown wrapper. This wrapper - highly regarded for its bold, spicy flavor - combines perfectly with the natural sweetness of the Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from the regions of Esteli and Pueblo Nuevo. The result is a unique and luxurious flavor which is intense and rich, yet rounded and balanced.
777 Zero Robusto (5 X 50) The newest line of 777 by J. Fuego, the 777 Zero is getting rave reviews by cigar aficionados in the USA. The 777-Zero is Mild-Medium in body thanks to the delicate, flavorful Connecticut wrapper. The Nicaraguan filler tobacco is bound by a Nicaraguan filler blend which makes it semi-puro cigar and gives just the right amount of flavor that blends perfectly with the light wrapper. The result is a nice mild creamy, and full of taste smoke that every cigar lover is looking for.
