In case you didn’t know the La Aurora factory is the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. La Caoba, which means “Mahogany” in Spanish, is named for a region in the north-central portion of the Cienfuegos province of Cuba. La Caoba cigars were originally produced in on the island during the 1920’s and during its heyday, La Caoba was one of the best and most sought out Cuban puros.
Today, La Caoba Extra is produced in one of the finest cigar factories in Esteli, Nicaragua. Consisting of seven vitola, La Caoba Extra features a deep brown Nicaraguan wrapper leaf that truly lives up to the name, “Mahogany.” A Nicaraguan binder and all Nicaraguan filler blend complete this medium-full bodied smoke. Rich and aromatic smoke with flavors of nuts, cocoa, and well-aged tobaccos great you with each puff with more than a hint of spice on the finish.
