The Cohiba Comador is the creation, vision, and partnership with Hip Hop’s biggest name, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. He felt that Cohiba would be the ideal brand to release his vision of a premium handmade cigar where they took their time to create a blend exactly the way he wanted it to be.  Jay-Z believes that Comador looks and taste the way he thinks a cigar should. Created by master blenders of Cohiba, the Cohiba Comador is constructed with rare Connecticut Havana leaf grown in the U.S. and according to General Cigar it was aged for four years and finishes in Santiago, Dominican Republic with rum barrels. There are no other cigar company in the world who uses barrel aging to improve the flavor and aroma of its tobacco making this cigar a unique experience. General Cigar isn’t discussing any details where the binder and filler tobaccos are from only stating that they’re Caribbean and Central American in origin. The size of the Comador is just one size: 52x6 gauge “toro box” that is accompanied with a Spanish cedar travel humidor. Dan Carr, president of General Cigar commented, “As a visionary, artist and connoisseur, Jay Z is the epitome of modern luxury and the ideal partner for Cohiba. Jay brought tremendous creativity to the development of Comador, and we responded by leveraging Cohiba’s assets to deliver an amazing cigar using rare, proprietary tobaccos, with contemporary, urbane packaging.” This is a one of a kind cigar that went through a tedious process to execute a premium cigar that cigar aficionados can experience a new and refreshing cigar.
