Christian Eiroa is back with a bang! After selling Camacho to Davidoff of Geneva, many thought that he would take a break from the cigar industry and perhaps tour the world. But Eiroa is a cigar man through and through, and it took less than two years for him to get his hands dirty again with a new line of cigars, the CLE Cuarenta Habano.
CLE, short for Eiroa’s full name Christian Luis Eiroa, are the true embodiment of Eiroa’s passion for cigars. The CLE Habano Cuarenta’s boxes sport an elegant design with an original color pattern featuring a red bottom with the CLE monogram. CLE is a limited edition line with small production using Habano Seed wrappers.
The CLE Cuarenta received a very nice 90-rating from Cigar Aficionado magazine in the December 2013 issue, hyelping to launch the line into untold heights.
The CLE small batch character dictated that future harvests will be vintage dated, or, as Eiroa puts it: “Tobacco changes every year, just like wine changes every year. I’m going to use the same varieties, but the cigars could vary, because it’s a different batch”.
Eiroa states that the dates will not be the harvest date but, rather, the date of production of every future edition.
