The Bahia Icon by Tony Borhani was just released in perfect timing with this catalog. We received a small shipment of this very limited edition and they will sell out quickly. The Icon cigar comes in just three sizes which are named after the three most important people in Tony Borhani’s quest to make the perfect cigar. The Gran Robusto was named after Eduardo Irrizari, the original creator of Cohiba, who helped Tony create his first blend in 1994. The Presidente was named after Ernesto Perez Carrillo, the legend behind La Gloria Cubana, Tony’s mentor and teacher throughout his career. The No. 2 Belicoso bears the name of Alejandro Robaina , the most celebrated tobacco grower in the entire history of Cuban cigars. Tony met him in his house in Pinar Del Rio and spent several days on his farm.
Bahia Icon cigars are made in Tabacalera Tambor in Nicaragua but the wrapper-binder-filler information is kept top secret. The cigars are full bodied, rich with hints of coffee, dark tobacco and white pepper. Powerful and complex, yet, very well balanced, the Icon ends with a smooth finish that lingers long after you put your cigar away.
