In Cuba Chico means little. It’s a way to refer to someone with a small figure. Chico Hernandez was a long time employee at the General Cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. He was the kind of person everybody liked , Never too busy to give you a hand and always there for his many friends at the factory. His diminutive figure got him the descriptive nickname that after so many years became his title and eventually nobody even remembered if he ever had another name. When he died we decided to call this cigar after him. Just like him it small in dimensions but similarly it stands tall when it comes to always providing the maximum. Like the old saying goes: “Good things come in small packages”.
