The Macanudo Vintage cigars are made only once or twice a decade. Perfect balance of sunshine and rainfall causes Macanudo's exclusive Connecticut Shade seeds to yield limited quantities of extraordinary wrapper leaves that exceed the high standards for other Macanudo cigars. And after the leaves have been cured and aged, only a few bales of them are finally deemed to be worthy of the Vintage Cabinet Selection designation.
Since the 1970s, Macanudo Connecticut Shade vintage-quality harvests have occurred only in 1979, 1984, 1988, 1993 and 1997. The Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selections that display those years have been released in different quantities approximately three years after their tobaccos were harvested.
Macanudo cigars are recognized as the best selling cigar brand in America. Originated in Jamaica in 1868, Macanudos were introduced to the US market by General Cigar in 1971, widely known for its mild flavor and body. Due to unfavorable conditions in Jamaica, such as the weather, Macanudo cigars are now produced in the Dominican Republic.
All Macanudo cigars are made with the finest Connecticut shade wrappers, mild yet flavorful twice-aged Dominican fillers, and binders grown in the San Andres Valley of Mexico.
These great cigars are perfect for both men and women because of the smooth, robust taste and are best known for their smoothness and consistency.
