Romeo y Julieta Cigars
COFFEE? No, we are not trying to sell coffee. It may well be that many of you are interested and, in truth, plenty of companies out there offer coffee with their cigars, however, we are not ready for this just yet. Instead, we just came up with a different idea. We have a cigar which, customers tell us, goes beautifully with a nice cup of Cuban coffee or, little espresso if you may. You actually have to try this to see how good it works.
Here’s the way to do it: Start with a fresh box of Romeo Y Julieta. If you’re home, put on your espresso maker before you sit down to open the box. If, you are like me, and you get your favorite coffee somewhere else, make sure you don’t forget your cigars in the house. First you have to remove the outer cello shrink and then remember to cut the seal before you try to force open the box, I’ve seen people cracking the cardboard lid just ‘couse they missed the seal. Once the box is open take your time, bring it close to your nose and take in the enchanting whiff which only a virgin box of cigars can deliver. Ahhh! Next, pinch out one cigar and slowly, and gently, remove the individual cellophane. If you’re in the mood to spice up the experience you can think about Monica Lewinsky while you are at it. Jokes aside, checking out the first cigar from a new box is seriously important. You want to make sure the cigar are in good shape and ready to smoke. Roll the cigar head at your fingertips. You do know where the head is don’t you? That’s the part you are gonna chop off if you want to use your cigar the way it was intended for, not the way they did (:
When you twist the cigar with your fingertips you actually let it talk to you. A properly moist cigar should remain silent, if it does make noise it probably a little on the dry side and should be put in a good humidor, but this is for a different story. If you’re going out, please take a couple of cigars, so once you get your coffee, you might bump into your fellow smoker, and what is better then sitting together over a warm cup of caffesito and passing the time with a friend over a good Romeo y Julieta?
